Harold Lee Barnard, 87, passed away on November 24, 2025 at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, NH. He was born on October 31, 1938 in Lockport, NY, son of the late Charles Barnard and Agnes (Lansill) Barnard.
Harold grew up in Medina, NY and was the oldest of three sons in his family. As a teenager, he worked alongside his family on their farm, later graduating from Medina Central High School, Class of 1957. Harold went on to serve honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Boston CAG1, with Charleston, MA as the home port. His service took place shortly after the Korean War, and he was discharged just prior to the Vietnam War.
Harold met the love of his life, June Ann Segnini, at a dance, and the two were married on June 15, 1973. Together they raised their children in Newton Junction and Sandown, NH before settling in Raymond, NH in March of 1998.
Professionally, Harold worked for Pan American Airlines for 15 years, and later for AGFA, where he began in warehouse operations before advancing to supervisor in the shipping department. Following his retirement, he remained active, working part-time as a store manager for AutoZone in Plaistow.
Harold was a longtime and devoted member of Fellowship Bible Church in Chester, where he taught Sunday School, served as a youth leader, and took part in the Men's Breakfast group. Outside of work and church, his greatest passion was tending to his vegetable garden. A little-known but memorable highlight of his life was receiving an award certificate for-quite literally-being "on top of the world."
In addition to his parents, Harold was predeceased by his beloved wife, June, who passed on October 9, 2024, and by his brother, Richard Barnard.
He is survived by his children, Thomas, Laura, Christine, Martin, and Gina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brother, David Barnard.
A memorial service will be held at Fellowship Bible Church, 48 Rod Gun Club Rd., Chester, NH, with date and time to be announced.
