Harold Beaird Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services on Jan. 7, 2026.
Harold Beaird was born on June 8, 1944, in Sims, Texas, and passed away on December 19, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas.

Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Becky Beaird; his parents, James and Novelle Beaird; his sister, Cordell Beard; and his brother, Alvin Beard.

He is survived by James and Lori Beard; Janie Beard; his sister-in-law, the late Alvin Beard's wife; his niece, Terry Beaird Cox; and his nieces and nephews, Drew and Kara Jordan. He is also survived by several extended family nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Harold retired from the State of Texas after a long and meaningful career as a psychologist with the prison system in Huntsville, Texas. His work involved interviewing inmates and determining appropriate cell block placement, a role that required patience, insight, and compassion- qualities Harold carried throughout his life.

Family meant everything to Harold. Although he never had children of his own, he lived through his nieces and nephews, who meant the world to him. In the later years of his life, he lived on a farm with James and Lori Beard- something he never imagined he would do, but something that brought him great happiness. To him, they were his kids.

Uncle Harold loved playing golf with friends and family and was always willing to try something new. While fishing was never truly his passion, he gladly went along simply to be with family. He especially loved surprise outings to Fat Jack's to play pool, always arriving with a big bag of quarters ready to go. He cherished good food, time with family and friends, and moments filled with laughter.

Harold was always there to listen and to help others through times of sorrow, sadness, and pain. His kindness, generosity, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Harold Beaird leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion to family, and quiet compassion.
