Clark Funeral Home and ChapelHarold "Buddy" Eugene Cain, a beloved father, grandfather, great grandaddy and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Acworth, Georgia, on October 23, 2025, at the age of 95.
Born on December 12, 1929, in Monroe, Georgia, Buddy was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. He was known for his cheerful nature, love of life, and lively spirit. Always ready for a good conversation, Buddy earned the nickname "Chatty Cathy" and never failed to bring a smile to those around him.
For more than 33 years, Buddy worked in the trucking industry, traveling the highways and sharing stories with fellow drivers. His love of travel extended well beyond his work-he enjoyed exploring new places and sharing those adventures with the people he loved most. His passion for music and dancing reflected his joyful personality and made every family gathering a little brighter. Buddy was kind, generous, and always willing to lend a hand-qualities that touched countless lives.
Buddy is survived by his loving daughters, Crystal Johnson and her husband Tommy, and Wanda Thompson and her husband David; grandchildren Nathan Tidwell (Robin), Heather Doppelheuer (Dan), Chastain Lewis (Scott), and Jordon Johnson (Sydney); and great-grandchildren Cole Basham-Doppelheuer, Chase Doppelheuer, Savannah Lewis, and Everett Johnson.
