Harold "Bill" Campbell, age 79, of
Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Bill was born in Elizabethton to the late Taft and Katherine Grace (Bradshaw) Campbell. In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Renee Campbell; an infant brother, Bruce Campbell and two other brothers, Bobby Campbell and Bo Campbell; and five sisters, Carolyn Richards, Mary Evelyn Taylor, Betty Kyte, Georgia 'Georgie' Berry and Peggy Richardson.
Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved his grandsons greatly and had been in the church pew padding business for over 50 years. He was a United States Army National Guard veteran and grew up in Cat Island and attended First Free Will Baptist Church. Bill loved to watch westerns and go fishing and had ran marathons at different locations.
Those left to cherish and remember Bill include his wife, Lorraine (Scalf) Campbell; his daughter, Tracey (Ricky) McLamb of
Wilmington, NC; his grandsons, Joshua Campbell and Zack Floyd; his twin sister, Darrell Ann Fair and husband Packy of Stoney Creek; a brother, Paul Campbell and wife Wanda of Apex, NC; ; two sisters-in-law, Jean Potter and Judy Campbell; a brother-in-law, Dwight Richards. Several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.
The family will hold a memorial service on March 5, 2023 at Cat Island Park at 2:00 PM. Anyone who knew and loved him are welcome to come.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Bill to Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton to help with expenses.
