Harold Certain, Jr. Obituary
Harold Leon Certain, Jr., 72 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 in Union Hospital. He was born in Terre Haute on October 14, 1953 to Harold Leon Certain, Sr. and Joy Hamilton Certain.
Harold was a retired mechanic from Tennent Company and had previously worked at Terre Haute Gas for 10 years and Wiese Company for 13 years. He was a member of the West Terre Haute Masonic Lodge # 687 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, and in his spare time enjoyed working on old cars, gardening and cooking.
Harold is survived by his wife Dottie Leigh Certain, whom he married January 15, 1977 and two sons, Matthew A. Certain and Anthony L. Certain. He is also survived by two sisters, Teresa Moore (Ron), and Lynda Moss as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Joe Irwin officiating. Burial will follow in Dunlap Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
