Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

Cindy and Mimi, we loved living across the street from your parents. When I had a miscarriage, your mother brought me food and flowers. Your daddy was always so friendly and kind and smart about flowers....and everything else. I missed him when he left Five Points. You are both so lucky to have had such a wonderful, loving, gracious father. And mother!

During this time of great sorrow and pain, know that you are not alone. May God give your family strength and comfort to help you endure this loss. As you remember your beloved one, may our Father, the God of peace, give you comfort and peace in every way today, tomorrow, and always. Please accept my sincere condolences. 2 Thessalonians 3:16

I can't remember a time when the Dardens were not dear friends. My father, T. G. Williams, worked with Harold in the Cooperative Extension Service, and their friendship quickly extended to the families and grew over many, many decades. Alzheimer's has robbed T. G. of many memories, but Harold Darden is one of the few people he always remembers. During a recent visit, I asked Dad if he remembered anything about Harold. He smiled and nodded. "He was a good friend and a good man."

My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May prayers strengthen you and memories comfort you, and may our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who loves us, comfort your hearts and "make you firm". (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17)

Harold was one of the kindest men I knew. He will be greatly missed in our neighborhood, particularly by those of us on his street. Perhaps my fondest memories were just sitting and chatting with him and Mimi and listening to tales of his previous experiences - which were vast. He was most kind and humble!

Mr. Darden, his wife and family were an important part of mine and Johnny's early years at UGA. I had the privilege of working for him at the state 4-H office and more important privilege to learn from one of the smartest and wittiest persons I have ever known. He never forgot anyone or anything. To you, the family, you we so blessed to have him guide your lives. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. Pleaslyn and Johnny Ransom
