Mary, Mike, Lori and all the Devlin Family:

We just heard from neighbors here in OC about Bud. Our sincere condolences to the entire Devlin Family.
Bud was such a gentleman, a good father and a devout human being...we are so glad we got a chance to know him and have some good memories of the talks we would have with him down the Shore.
He's left a legacy with all of you that speaks volumes about the kind of person he (and your Mom) are in raising you all. But we he still will be missed! Again our heartfelt condolences to Mary and you all.

Sincerely
Jeff and Marian Pitkin

Mike and Liz, very sorry for your loss, I only met your Dad once but could tell he was a good man and seemed to have a wonderful sense of humor. I know you all loved him very much. He will live on in your hearts.

Mike and family, Michelle and I send our condolences. We are so sorry for your loss and we are thinking about you. Knowing the apple does not fall far from the tree, we are sure Bud was the fun-loving, charismatic life of any room he entered, and that he will be greatly missed.

I have known the Devlin's for over 40 years. You could not meet a more loving, caring, close-knit family. Bud fought the good fight. He was a true warrior. Bud was never happier then when he was with his family. As I look at these wonderful pictures of him and his family I constantly see his warm loving smile. That's how I will remember Mr Devlin always having that great smile, at ease with his life, surrounded by those he loved. In the end what more could a person ask for? Rest in Peace Bud.

I worked with Bud years ago at Mobil Oil. I sat next to him and we had so much fun! He had a great sense of humor and loved his family so much. I will always have so many great memories of him. My sympathy to his family. I feel lucky to have known Bud.

We are very saddened by the death of Bud. He was a wonderful man and loved his family very much. Bud and his wife Mary Ellen lived behind me for many years. I knew Mary's parents. We have always been friends and have been there for each other. Our hearts are broken and our prayers are with Mary and all her beautiful and loving children and grandchildren. We will miss him dearly.

No sorrow, only joy that you are free of your earthly bonds, sailing that eternal sea, at peace. You fought long and hard in this life, Bud, a true warrior, a good man, a sterling example of what we can become when love shapes our lives. You fought for your family and your legacy. I am proud to have known you.

I will miss you, Bud, your smile, your strength, your beautiful soul. I leave you with this, my friend. It was spoken by The Buddha and puts my heart at ease, again, because there can be no sorrow, only joy:

When you realize how perfect everything is you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky
