Harold Crandon Haddock

Harold Crandon Haddock entered this life on January 16, 1937, in Durant, Oklahoma, born to Lando Crandon Haddock and Rumina (Mapp) Haddock. He was raised in Kemp, Oklahoma. Harold entered his heavenly home on November 3, 2024, in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 87.
Harold graduated from Durant High School and married the best thing of his life, Jane Stewart on June 2, 1954, and were truly blessed with 70 years of marriage. To this union was born three children. Harold worked for First National Bank as a loan officer, then entered a partnership in Harold Haddock Ford dealership in Denison, Texas. He also entered a partnership with his two sons in the Grease and Go fast lube business in Durant, Denison, and Sherman.
After Harold's retirement, he and Jane joined a group (making over ninety projects) called World Mission Builders of the Independent Christian Churches which build church buildings all over the United States. This group also built six chapels inside the prisons in the state of Oklahoma and erected the building for J127 ministries. A fifty-year member of the Durant Masonic Lodge #45, a thirty-two-degree mason, and a Knight of the Knights of Templar. He served his country for six years in the 180th infantry, 45th division, Oklahoma National Guard attaining the rank of Sergeant.
He enjoyed volunteering as the General Contractor on several local projects. He drew the plans and served as general contractor to remodel Robert L. Williams Library into the annex for the Bryan County Courthouse. He also designed the offices at the fairgrounds for the OSU Extension Services and the new addition to the Bryan County Pregnancy Center in Durant.
Harold is survived by His wife Jane (Stewart) Haddock of the home, his children Kaye Hemphill and husband Joe, Crandon Haddock and wife Janette, David Haddock and wife Susan, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, and brother Dolphus Haddock.
