Harold "Hal" Eugene Branch, Jr., a beloved member of the Tifton community, passed away on February 5, 2025, at the Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. Born on February 15, 1969, in Tifton, Georgia, Hal touched many lives through his warmth, humor, and steadfast loyalty.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 9, 2025 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Ronnie Vice officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Brian Causey, Shane Chitwood, Bill Cooper, Darrell Duggan, Tony Kirkland and Dewey Ware will serve as pallbearers. The honorary pallbearers will be Nick Newbern, Alex Willis, Slade Fountain and Shane Fountain.
Hal was a proud 1988 graduate of Tift County High School and had attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). As a self-employed third generation plumber, he demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and dedication to his craft, earning the respect of his peers and clients alike.
An avid outdoorsman, Hal found joy in activities like deer and turkey hunting, as well as fishing. He embraced life with enthusiasm, often indulging in horse riding, motorcycling, ATV riding, and mud bogging. His love for nature extended to his home, where he took pleasure in maintaining an aquarium filled with fish, engaging in the art of refinishing driftwood and just sitting by an open fire.
Known for his jovial spirit, Hal was a jokester at heart. His straightforward nature and funny demeanor made him a cherished friend among many. Those who knew him can fondly recall his ability to bring laughter into any situation and his unwavering loyalty to his friends. Hal was of Baptist faith.
Hal is survived by his mother, Martha Nell Pettis Branch of Tifton; his daughters, Kaytlin Branch and Hally Branch of Tifton; his three grandchildren, Everleigh Branch, Karsyn Branch, and Saylor Branch; his sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Jerry Willis of Tifton; and his nephew Alex Willis. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Eugene "Gene" Branch, Sr.
