Harold Eugene (Gene) Harris of Cleveland, Tennessee was born in Calhoun, Tennessee on May 12, 1938 and passed away on February 10, 2025. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Gene retired from J.C. Penny Company at Hamilton Place Mall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Monroe Harris and Annie Helen Lyle Harris; brother, James Monroe Harris and brother-in-law, Mike Zius.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bryant Harris of 63 years; his daughters, Susan Harris Bryson (Derek), Nicole Harris; grandson, Andy Degler (Mariah); granddaughter, Megan Gerrells (Jacob); great granddaughter, Emory Jean Gerrells; sister, Sue Harris Zius; brother, David Harris (Kelly); nieces, Vickie Harris, Carrie Zius Daniels; nephew, Mark Zius.
Gene's life will be honored and celebrated at Companion Funeral Home Ridge Chapel on Friday, February 14, 2025. Visitation 1:00-3:00 with Memorial Service to immediately follow at 3:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Westwood Baptist building fund or the charity of your choice.
