Harold Holcombe

A celebration of life for Harold Holcombe, 73, of Anniston, will be held on today, Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 1:00pm at Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Munford with Pastor L. L. Jacobs, officiating. Interment will be in the Kelly Springs Memorial Garden. A public viewing was held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 3pm-7pm at the funeral home. Professional services entrusted to S.M. Goodson Funeral Home-Anniston. Mr. Harold Eugene Holcombe, the beloved son of the late Monroe and Ruby Holcombe, began his earthly journey in Anniston, Alabama on January 24, 1952. Harold accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and eventually united with Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Munford. He was educated in the Anniston City School System where he attended Cobb Avenue High School. Harold was a loving and generous man who had a heart that soared with love for his family. He was always the life of the party, whether being a comedian, making everyone laugh with his jokes, or showcasing his many moves on the dance floor at family gatherings. He was a devoted fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team and never missed an opportunity to passionately cheer for his team. On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the age of 73, Harold completed his earthly journey and transitioned from labor to eternal rest while in the care of Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Ruby Holcombe, and siblings, Larry Holcombe, Shirley A. Taylor, and Teresa Holcombe Porter. Harold leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his warm and fun-loving spirit. He is survived by his son, Maurice Moore; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Faye (William) Timber, Carolyn Gaddis, Gregory Holcombe, and Alerica Holcombe; special niece and caregiver, Taaj Sarhaan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. As we remember Harold, let us celebrate his vibrant spirit, embracing the love and laughter he shared. Though he may be gone from our sight, his light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
