Harold Hopper Obituary

Harold was born on August 6, 1929 and passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Harold was a resident of Logansport, Indiana at the time of passing. Harold attended Logansport High School but in 1946, at age 17, he convinced his mother to sign papers for his enlistment in the U.S. Army, leaving high school in the early part of the 10th grade. A Masonic service will be held at 2:45 p.m. Friday, January 12 in Fisher Funeral Chapel followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. celebrating Harold's life. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Alzheimer's Association or the Cass County Humane Society.

I was thinking about some of the people that I've known in my life and remembered Harold Hopper of Logansport, Indiana. Looking him up lead me to his obituary.

As a young salesman for Scholz Homes, I met many interesting people but no one like Harold. He basically trained me to do my job and also proved to me that you could be independent and self-sufficient in this world and be successful.

He was one of a kind and a role model to me and I regret that I never got to tell him so...
