Harold Jennings Obituary

Mr. Jennings was born in Clyde, Ohio on February 12, 1938 to Mildred (Haggerty) and Harold Clyde Jennings.
Harold was a member of the 1956 graduating class of Clyde High School. In 1961, he graduated from The Ohio State University and then later received his Master's Degree for Bowling Green State University.
He ended his career in education as a principal at C.D. Brillhart School in Napoleon. Harold had been a teacher, a coach of basketball and track in Napoleon.
While at Clyde High School he ran hurdles for the Fliers. At OSU he was a five year marching band member of what would become TBDBITL! He was proud of this accomplishment.
Later in life, he especially loved his zero turn mower and going to the casinos.
On June 15, 1974, he married Jo Huston. She survives, as do five children: Marla (Dan) Mock of Lebanon, Indiana; Lorrie Jennings (Dr. Todd Hernandez) of Malinta, Ohio; Guy Edward (Aprile) Jennings of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota; Jolie (Lance) Feher of Dublin, Ohio and Dustin Jennings of Westerville. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings; Clyde Jennings, LaMar Jennings, Robert Jennings, Mae Jennings and William Jennings.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
Memorials may be made to the Napoleon Police Officer Organization or the United Way.

Tom Fiser wrote a sympathy message
"Harold will forever remain with me as a positive impact on my life growing up in McClure, OH. As my 5th grade school teacher and scoutmaster of McClure Boy Scout Troop 221, he was a formative role model and taught many young men how to be solid citizens and contributors to society. He was a good man and will be sorely missed.

To the Jennings family, we are so sorry to hear of Harold´s passing. We had many fun family times over the past 50 years, especially fishing and camping in the UP and at the Huston Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations. You helped us so much over the past 20 years by regularly mowing the yard at the Huston home. We really appreciated everything you did for us. You will be missed. Go Bucks!
