Harold F. "Butch" Lyons Jr., 82, of Buffalo Township, passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born Aug. 10, 1943, in New Kensington to the late Harold F. and Thelma (McDowell) Lyons Sr. Butch lived most of his life in Buffalo Township. He was a machinist for Westinghouse Corp., Cheswick, and a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. Butch was a member of the Local IBEW and the Tarentum Sportsman Club. He graduated from Arnold High School in 1961 and enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a Pittsburgh Hockey fan, and was an avid aircraft enthusiast. Survivors include his son Sean M. (Diane) Lyons, of Salisbury, MD; and two grandchildren, Ashton M. Lyons, of Salisbury, MD, and Michael J. (Jessica) Jump, of Springfield, VA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Irene (Simpson) Lyons, in 2013; and a sister, Joyce A. Lyons.
