Russ was born to Harold and Dorothy Meyerhoffer in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He married LeOra Brown on April 11, 1960. Later being sealed on October 12, 2018 in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple.
Russ was an avid outdoorsman. His greatest joy was found while hunting with family and friends. When he wasn’t on the mountain, he made his career as a journeyman tile setter. He also spent time gardening, fishing, and custom building firearms.
He was proud to have served his country in the Army.
Russ is survived by his wife, LeOra, sons; Todd Russell, Travis William (Dawn), and daughter Lori Marie Clay. Three sisters, one brother, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents and one sister.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 12:30 - 1:15 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, with a graveside service to follow.
