Harold is preceded in death by his father Harold Miller and mother Dorothy Johnson; and step-father Walter Johnson.
Harold Miller was a lifelong resident of the Oconomowoc area, graduating from Oconomowoc High School in 1957. In 1959, he began working at Hein-Warner, later acquired by Snap-on, where he remained a dedicated employee until his retirement.
Harold spent countless weekends doing what he loved most-attending auctions, restoring antiques, and finding hidden treasures. He became such a regular at Delellis Auctions that before long, they put him to work at their weekly events. His sharp eye and easygoing humor made him a favorite among fellow collectors.
For decades, Harold lived on Golden Lake, where he served as Treasurer of the Golden Lake Association for many years and took great pride in caring for his community. He was often seen walking along the Village of Summit's roads-often up to 35 miles a week-picking up trash and recycling to keep the area beautiful.
Harold had a passion for collecting Hallmark ornaments and took great joy in choosing the perfect ornament for family and friends each Christmas. His thoughtfulness and quiet generosity shone through in these small, heartfelt gestures.
He looked forward each November to deer hunting on his family's farm and, in more recent years, he also loved attending his great grandson Canann's hockey games. A longtime Sheepshead player, Harold rarely missed a weekly card game-most recently joining his friends at the Fish Hatchery in Delafield.
Harold will be remembered for his steady presence, dry humor, and the care he gave to his family, friends, and community.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Rainbow Hospice of Johnson Creek for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriner's and Rainbow Hospice of Johnson's Creek in Harold's name are welcome.
A visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 2 PM to 4 PM, followed by a service at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066). Military honors will conclude the services. All are invited to gather afterward for a meal, where stories of Harold's life can be shared.
