Mr. Harold Clyde Murphy, age 93, went to his Heavenly Home on July 31 while at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Harold was born in Orangeburg a son of the late James Murphy and Eppsie Creel Murphy. He was the owner of Economy Heating and Air for 45 years, a member of The First Church of God of The Reformation. He was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in France as an Electrician. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Diann Beasley Murphy, Hartsville; one daughter, Brenda Murphy, Columbia; one step- son, Doug Kendall, Hartsville; two step- daughters, Nancy (David) Williamson, Hartsville and Christie (Mark) Mettert, Missouri; three nephews, Gerry Thomas (Diane) Murphy, Milledgeville, GA;, Gary Compton, Austin,TX and Terry Compton, Amarillo, TX one niece, Kathy Smith; one great niece, Shawn Hunter Futrell, Hartsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Aldridge Murphy; one son, Robert Glenn Murphy; one brother Gerry Murphy and one sister, Diddy Compton.
Gravesides will be held Saturday at 11:30 at the Westview Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Rob Brazell will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday 10:00 - 11:00 am at Norton Funeral Home.
