To the family and many friends of Harold... He was a much loved running buddy and I loved seeing him encourage so many other runners...He and his son Roger poured concrete for our building company for a long time. Harold was also in the National Guards with my dad. What a life!! What great stories!! I can imagine Harold now giving running tips to God!! Godspeed Harold!! Love you!! Karla Wagner

Like many, I had the privilege of getting to know Harold through the West Michigan running community. Loved talking to him after a race or at the local running store. A man of dedication and commitment in the community will be missed. Prayers for his family during this time.

I will miss the way Harold always smiled, with a twinkle in his eye, which reflected his positive outlook on life. I admired his devotion to family and friends. And he was a mentor and inspiration to me and others in the running community, teaching us the importance of running for the love of it. Rest in peace, my friend.
