To the Pogat´s family, my heart is with you and I send condolences during this difficult time. To Sam, you are your father´s son. Your dad displayed kindness, heart, and wonderful wit to all the S-L students during their high school days. I´m sending you lots of hugs.

Mr. Pogats was a dedicated educator and positively impacted so many Southfield students

Mr. Pogats and I had a handful of meaningful conversations. Some of them in his office and some just to make sure I was still on the right path. Either way, his guidance was always appreciated. He was one of the good ones. You will be missed.

SL Class of 84 under Mr. Pogats. What a wonderful person and such fond memories. My thoughts go out to his family. He will be missed.

What a sweet man. My first encounter with Harry was when he came into our typing class wearing a wig that made him look like Moe from the Three Stooges. Always a smiling face. I'm sure you and Ken and the Jim's are loving being together again.

Harry was a friend to every staff member at Southfield-Lathrup, supportive and always willing to help. He was also an excellent Assistant Principal, providing the grease to help the school run smoothly and the grit to make sure the work got done. We could and did count on Harry.

Mr Pogats was such a fantastic man who cared for all his students and staff at Southfield-Lathrup. I always enjoyed talking with him and I shared his love for his vintage Mustang. My friend you will be missed. I pass my condolences to your family and friends.
