To Harold's family.

I was very lucky to have Harold as a
neighbor. You couldn't ask for a better person. Always there when you needed something. I have many
fond memories, some derived from the
stories of his life he shared with me.

Harold "Skip" Ramoie worked as our caretaker and landscape man and all-round helpmate for 15 years. In that time he also became one of our closest friends. One could write volumes about this remarkable man who truly became one of our heroes. No one could ask for a better role model in life than Harold. His energy was boundless well into his 90th year; his attitude toward life was cheerful and always upbeat; he had worked in too many fields to count; and he had a spiritual relationship with the Lord that was unparalled by anyone we have yet to encounter. His tireless energy and the warmth of his personality will be missed by everyone in our family, for sure, including our little black lab Buckeye who loved him too and whom Harold called " the best dog ever." Simply said, no one will ever replace thoughtful, caring, loving Harold--one in a million!

To the Family of Harold:
First, my condolences on losing such a kind, gentle man as Harold was. While it's been 50 +/- years since I've seen Harold, I still have fond memories of him as we moved from the old Trinity Lutheran to the new Trinity Lutheran; when we went sailing with his friend Joe from Michigan Bell; and all the various functions and fun times we had with the Walther League, including the night I broke my ankle tobogganing with the League; he was always helping anyone who needed his help. I'm sure he will be deeply missed.
