Harold w. Sargent Jr, 98, of Canterbury, NH, passed away on Tuesday July 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Meredith, NH on July 11, 1927, to Harold and Alida Sargent, Sr. He retired at the age of 58 to care for the love of his life, Thelma (Lamprey) Sargent until her death in 1987.
Harold kept busy with woodworking, recreating replicas of town buildings in the center of Canterbury, he began building doll houses at the age of 91even after he was diagnosed with macular degeneration rendering him legally blind.
He is survived by his 4 daughters, Betty Bezanson of Northfield, Peggy Bassett of Montana, Carol Dyer of Concord and Denise Hinderer of Florida, 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Canterbury on July 30, 2025, at 11:00 am. Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements.
