Dear Sherman Sons:

We all know that there comes a time when we grow weary from the many tasks and dealing with life in general. Howard and Mitchell both know how I loved to drop by the Office and chat with your dad. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a "big" heart. I remember his deep affection for his father, and how The Sherman House was constructed in his honor. I suppose you all realize that I first became acquainted with your dad and Howard in 1973, and that warm relationship continued until this day. I remember picking at him when he showed me his D.H.L. However, I was so proud to know a man who had made such a contribution to help children and their parents because of his generosity.

I am happy that I have always remained a friend of Jeannette's since 1973, in addition as a capable person in Sherman Real Estate Agency.

I will always have fond memories of him, and still hold dear all of you, particularly Howard, who stepped up into some big shoes and seems to capably do a great job. When I get a chance, I will stop by, as usual when I am on Broad Street.
