Harold T. Hack, Sr., of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. He was 78 years old. Harold was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 6, 1942 to the late George and Elizabeth (née Richardson) Hack. He was the loving husband and father. Harold was a 1961 graduate of Overbrook High School and worked as a police officer with the Philadelphia Police Department for 20 years. Harold was presented with two awards in 1985 and 1988 for valor in the performance of his police work. He also served as a U.S. Marshall at the federal courthouse for 20 years. His memberships included the FOP Lodge 5, Chapel of the Four Chaplains, and the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge Prudence 11 where he was a 32nd Degree Free and Accepted Mason. Harold enjoyed watching westerns, dancing, shooting at the gun range, taking care of his car, and will be fondly remembered as a comical man who enjoyed his cocktails and was always impeccably dressed. To cherish his memories, Harold is survived by his wife, Fannie of 52 years; his children: Tina M. Hack, Harold T. Hack, Jr. and his wife Aleshia, Tanya R. Hack, Erika R. Dennis and her husband Glenwood; and his grandchildren: Terrell Hack, Evita Crespo-Hack, Quran Hack, Brianna Hack, Janae Hack, Nahmir Hack, Erienne Dennis, and Ethan Dennis; seven sisters-in-law; five brothers-in- law; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Harold was predeceased by his siblings: George Hack, Phyllis Strange, Frank Hack, Margaret Chapman, Yvonne Caldwell, and Constance Caldwell. Relatives and friends are invited to Harold's Life Celebration on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Second Pilgrim Baptist Church, 854-60 N. 15th St. Philadelphia, PA 19130. Interment will follow at Eden Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Harold may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or to Shriner's Hospitals For Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org. Family services are entrusted under the care of the Geitner-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 215-224-6300. Repast Immediately following the interment, the family will receive friends at 5022 Lancaster Avenue Philadelphia, Pa 19131.
