Pennysettlement- Harold L. Weaver, Jr. 68, of Pennysettlement Road, husband of Rebecca, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.
Harold was born in Ballston Spa, NY, on December 9, 1956, a son of Harold L. Weaver, Sr. and Gladys Green Weaver. He grew up in Ballston Spa, where he graduated from high school with the Class of 1974. Upon graduation Harold entered the United States Navy, serving his country until honorably discharged at Norfolk, VA, on April 19, 1978, with the rank of HT2.
After his discharge, Mr. Weaver settled in Norfolk,, before moving to Virginia Beach. For a short time after his Navy service, he operated Weaver’s Welding Shop. Later, as an accomplished welder of many types of metals, he began employment for Architectural Graphics, Inc. (A.G.I), of Virginia Beach, where he was employed as a welder, until 2001, when he relocated to Pennysettlement, NY.
On April 18, 1991, Harold was united in marriage with Rebecca Collier, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
After settling in Pennysettlement, he was employed as a welder at C.J. Logging Co., Boonville, until retiring due to disability.
At the present time Harold was attending Messiah Congregation, in New Hartford. He greatly enjoyed everything motorcycles; studying, building, repairing, buy or selling and of course, riding. He motorcycled extensively around northern New York state and beyond, in many east coast states.
In addition to his wife, Rebecca, Harold is survived by two sons, Aarron and his wife Leanne Higby, North Utica, and David, Pennysettlement and one brother, Kevin Weaver, Lyonsdale. He was predeceased by his mother, “Sunshine” Gladys Weaver, on November 1, 2025, and by his father, Harold L. Weaver, Sr.
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, presided by Rabbi Justin Elwell and by members of Charles J. Love Post American Legion, Harland J. Hennessey Post V.F.W. and the Tun Tavern Marine Corps League, all of Boonville. Calling hours are Sunday, at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the services begin.
