Mr. Harold William Zirkle

Zirkle, Harold William (Bill), 80 of San Mateo, CA passed away June, 26, 2011 at his home after a brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Bess Williamson, daughters Debra Fleischman, Diane Ploof, Donna Andrews, seven loving grandchildren and his sisters Jacque Thompson and Pat Kennedy. He was predeceased by his brother Gene Zirkle. Born April 13, 1931 to Harold Anderson Zirkle and Georgia Bedell Zirkle, he grew up in Topeka, Kansas. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy and a graduate of the University of Washington. He spent his entire working career with Chevron USA. Retired in 1990, he dedicated himself to his membership in The California Golf Club in South San Francisco. Bill had an incredible passion for the game and now will always be hitting fairways and greens. Private services were held. Donations can be made in Bill's name to Sutter VNA and Hospice, 700 S.
