Harris Lane Jackson

Due to dialysis, I was not able to attend today´s service.
When I was in the first grade, Harris Lane drove my school bus- I think he was a 12th grader. I regularly had migraine headaches that sometimes ended with me throwing up. One day that happened on the way home and Harris Lane stopped his bus and went into Graham Spires´ store (used to be at the intersection of hwys 3 and 321.). He brought a "little Coke" (some remember them) and gave it to make me feel better. My parents went to Mrs. Evelyn´s that night to give Harris Lane his money back but he wouldn´t take it.
I asked Harris Lane within the last year if he remembered it. He didn´t but his kindness from nearly 50 years ago was never forgotten by me.
May our Lord bless and comfort each and every one as they deal with Harris Lane´s passing.
