Harrison K. Paster

Harrison was a friend of my late son Dennis Ryan and my daughter Katie. We always enjoyed seeing him and both my late husband Dennis & I were delighted & honored when Harrison returned from serving his country. He asked us to meet him for lunch & I'll always treasure that memory & his smile.

Harris buddy. Just found out you left us while reading the STA bulletin. We lost touch after high school. You and Matt Wernet back together talking cars. Condolences to all your surviving family and friends. Your old friend Bill.

Hey Harris, it's me... the tomboy girl who always sat at the boy's table, where you and our other friends treated me in a way that helped me feel like I fit in as "one of the guys" during those years in 1st - 6th grade. I will always be grateful to you for that. A gearhead from day one, we liked different kinds of "horsepower" but we could appreciate and encourage each others' versions. I remember how cool it was when your Dad picked you up at school in the "Roadrunner". I am happy to hear you kept wrenching and chuckled as I read Rob's story about getting pulled over on Hamline Avenue. Though I have not met your family I send them love as we all remember you together. Photo was taken during science fair in the school gym, I think that was in 5th Grade.

My cousin did things his own way. He was confident and his choices, has so much care for other and amazing charm. He will be missed more than he could have imagined.

I remember a time in high school when Harrison came up to Roseville to show my brother Jimmy and me a super cool muscle car. Harris took us out for a ride and was demonstrating what it could do on way north Hamline avenue. We were going a bit over the limit (maybe a bit) and Harris said "Robbie are there cops on this road?" and I said with confidence "Harris, the only way they catch you on this part of the road is if they are right behind you. Don't worry man!" Moments after I said that we looked up in the rear view and saw the flashing lights. We pulled over, dreading what was going to happen next. The officer spent several minutes discussing and admiring the car. We left with a verbal warning to slow down. And take care of the car.

Harrison was always willing to help his neighbors out by answering our many automotive questions. He often came over with a wrench in hand. Thinking of Ann and the kids at this difficult time.
