Although it has been months since Harry´s passing, I just found out today.

I was a classmate of Harry´s in SUNY-Optometry School. He was great fun to hang around with, as we would shoot the breeze, play pool, backgammon, or foosball on our breaks. I can´t think of anyone who had a bad thing to say about Harry, as he was so well liked by all. After optometry school I would run into Harry every now and then, but we took no time to catch up.

His passing is really upsetting. May his memory only be for blessings to his family.

Dr. Churchill visit me while I was in Mass General from a serious automobile accident. Taking the time to think of me.

My husband and I both enjoyed, ENJOYED, getting our regular exams from Dr. Churchill. His buoyant spirit and sense of adventure made the exams fun. His presence will be sorely missed on the Vineyard. Our deepest condolences to all.

Harry had been my optometrist over the past 5-6 years and always performed his work professionally. Harry's family as well as my own go back many generations in this town . Harry and his employees at Cedarville eye are the best and I will continue to remain a client. Respectfully yours John L Swift .

Dr. Churchill was my employer, mentor, colleague, and friend. He was a thorough and compassionate doctor. As a person he was thoughtful, kind, and generous. We worked in the same Optometry office in Methuen until he opened his private practice in Plymouth, which he was so excited about. After this we kept in touch for over 30+ years, through attending Optometry conferences (live and virtual) and discussing our families, vacations, books, and eye care by phone, email and texting. Although he was truly dedicated to his patients and profession, his deepest devotion and love of his heart were Monica, Harry III, Grace, and Abby. Heaven has gained another angel... Rest in peace, Dr. Churchill...

Monica and family,
Saddened to hear the news of Harry´s passing. During my visits to his office, our conversation quickly shifted to swapping "sea stories" of our times in the service, and then eventually the subject turned to our children. Harry beamed with pride when discussing your successes, confessing he was only concerned with your happiness. I realize my words are inadequate but as was once said - To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.

It was an honor to know him. Not only did he love his profession, as we knew him, but he never missed a chance to celebrate his family. Always spoke fondly of his wife and children, of his clamming, lobster and other pursuits. He had a true joie d´vivre and will be sorely missed. My sincerest condolences to his wife and children...

So sorry for your loss. Mr Churchill was the nicest and funniest guy I have met. He was my eye Dr for years. He gave my daughter her first job there. She lived working for him. I was so shocked to hear of his passing. Praying for your family at this time.
