Harry Golightly Obituary

After receiving his BFA from the University of Texas, Harry became an artist and art teacher, beginning in the late 70s after trying his hand at sculpting and plexiglass work. For a time, he was even a metrologist before retiring. In his free time, Harry enjoyed searching for items with a metal detector with his dad before his father's passing. He had a dedicated collection of stamps and coins. Ever the treasure hunter, he would frequent flea markets and would find bargains to flip them into profits. His crowning achievement was a Martin Guitar that he purchased for $25, that he sold for a staggering $9,000.
His memory lives on in his sister, Judy Shirley of Spring, Texas; his nephews Gregory White of Dallas, Texas, and Hayes Shirley of Spring, Texas. He joins his parents, Jack and Pauline Golightly in eternity.
