Harry Matthew Havens left his journey here on earth to start a new adventure on January 7th 2023 surrounded by family at a local hospital.
Harry had a larger than life personality and a quick and with sense of humor.
He was raised in Seattle WA, graduated from Roosevelt High School before entering the Army where he was stationed at various forts in the US and in Germany.
Music was a huge part of his life as he played a mean Blues Harp throughout Washington state including playing on the same stage as Steve Miller Band and Chaka Khan to name a few.
He loved camping at Lake Connor Park in Washington originally as a Boy Scout and later as a lot owner.
Harry was a big fan of football (Packers and Seahawks) playing in his youth and coaching later on. He coached a junior league football team in Marysville WA in the 90s that win every game and only had 7 total points scored against them the whole season, winning that years championship.
He and his wife, Julie Hulke-Dahl-Havens met at work in Everett WA, had their date at a Halloween party at a cemetery in 1987. They celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary in June.
He and the family moved to Billings in 1997 where he enjoyed fishing at Dead man's Basin and playing league darts.
Harry loved working and was a Jack of All Trades. He was last employed as a Dietary Manager at Parkview Care Center in Billings where the residents enjoyed his sense of humor and delicious recipes.
He is survived by his wife Julie, his sons: Shawn and Dustin Havens of Wisconsin, Kirk Dahl (Chantel) of Maryland, Tyler Dahl (Anna) of
Melbourne, FL and Sterling Havens of Billings, daughters: Sencera Bent of Wisconsin and Savannah Havens of Billings. Grandchildren: Kaleb Sprengle Gahagan of Wisconsin, Keetin and Kolton Bentz of Wisconsin, Matthew and Katelin Dahl of Maryland, Alexander and Atlas Havens of Billings. Brothers: Mel Havens of Missouri and Joshua Keliiakoa of Seattle, sisters: Sencera Smith of Seattle and Juleen Havens of Ennis. Aunts: Linda Stalkfleet of Billings and Carol Tampazopoulas of
San Antonio, Tx. Harry was proceeded in death by his sons Schleen Havens of Colorado Springs, Co and Jeremie Havens of Billings, sisters: Theresa Havens of Missouri and Julie Holland of
Columbus, Mt,Dwight Steiner of Wy and Doug Steiner of Park City Mt. Also nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life to be held at a later date. You are missed.
