Harry Edward "Ed" Lemon Jr.

Love and prayers to the family. I was a student at west brunswick high school Class of 1981. Just learned of Mr. Lemons passing. He was a nice man and awesome principal.

Met Eddie when I entered Wilmington College to play baseball. There were no dorms at that time so I moved into Eddie´s neighborhood. He became my transportation to school and baseball practice. I never had a better teammate. Nor did I ever play with anyone who was more competitive. Rest in peace my friend.

With sympathy for the family of Ed Lemon. He was a professional, caring person. In the Leland area, years ago, we cheered for our children as they participated in team sports. When seeking a teaching position, Mr. Lemon gave me the opportunity to transfer to Bolivia Elementary School. As an educator, at the Bolivia school, I truly appreciated his leadership roles. He was a wonderful principal who cared about the children, faculty, and staff. God's blessings to his family. Marva S. Moss, and family.

I first met Ed Lemon when I was in junior high school at Chestnut Junior High School in Wilmington. He was doing his student teaching there.
Fast forward 20 years later and I found myself interviewing for a teaching position at Bolivia Elementary School. I had no idea he was the principal there. When I walked in I recognized him immediately and we had a good reunion and I guess a pretty good interview because I hit the job! He was one of the best principals I ever worked for my entire teaching career. He will be missed!

Ed was the same every time you saw him...always passionate about the cause and dedicated to the big picture. My thoughts and prayers for Trey and the rest of the family...RIP Ed...God bless!

Brunswick County Schools has lost an Icon of its Educational Leadership. Mr. lemon devoted himself to making a difference for the children in this county. I had the pleasure of being a student at West Brunswick High during his tenure there, and also working with him in my professional capacity as an educator. Ed will most definitely be missed , but his legacy will live on...My sincere condolences to the family .

Ed Lemon was my first Principal during my first year of teaching and coaching, at West Brunswick HS, in 1981.

Yesterday I was saddened to hear about Mr. Lemon's passing just before I spoke at Coach Ron Champion's Celebration of Life at Holden Beach. I had sent Mr. Lemon, who was a Facebook friend, Ron's Celebration announcement. I was hoping he would be attending yesterday! I mentioned Mr. Lemon in my remarks!

I learned a lot from Mr. Lemon, that one year at West Brunswick, that I would carry with me throughout my teaching career! He remained the best Principal I ever worked for!

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Ed. He was indeed a dedicated educator. It was my pleasure to work with him as principal of West Brunswick in 1991. He was very concerned about the students and their well being. Prayers for comfort for his family.

Mr Lemon was my principal at Bolivia.. He was one of the best bosses I have ever had.. He will be missed by some many.. Love to all the family. Marie Brittain
