Harry Joseph Lindale, Sr., age 77, of Dover, DE, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Born in Milford, DE on December 1, 1947, he was a son of the late Augustus H. and Anna (Adam) Lindale. Harry was a graduate of Milford High School. He proudly served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War from 1968 until 1976. Harry was a jeltrate mixer for LD Caulk Company, then worked in maintenance at Colonial School District and was the owner of Lindale Hauling Services.

In his spare time, Harry could often be found fishing. He enjoyed helping others as a volunteer at the Carlisle and Odessa Fire Department's for over 50 years.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lambert Lindale; siblings, Nicholas Lindale, Helen Brown, and Augusta Lindale. He is survived by his sons, Harry J. Lindale and Lake Lindale; siblings, John (Linda), Anton "Tony" (Beverly), Rosemary McLaughlin (Rick), Margaret "Peggy" Biddle (Calvin), and Elizabeth "Betty" DeBold (Larry); sister-in-law, Sheila Lindale; brother-in-law, Gene Brown; and many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and step grandchildren.

A graveside service will begin at 11 am on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Old Drawyers Cemetery, 2839 Dupont Parkway, Middletown, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry's memory to the Carlisle Fire Company, Station #42, 615 NW Front Street, Milford, DE 19963 or online by clicking here; or to the Odessa Fire Company, P.O. Box 81, Odessa, DE 19730 or online by clicking here.
