Harry Miller Obituary

Harry C. Miller Jr.

Harry C. Miller Jr., 89, of Summit Hill, passed away on March 8, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Carol A. (Watkins) Miller for 68 years this past Nov. 28.

Harry was born on Jan. 1, 1937 in Coaldale, the son of late Harry C. Sr. and Irene B. (Geary) Miller.

A 1954 graduate of Summit Hill High School, after high school he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, being stationed in many different places. He was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring in 1974 after 20 years of service, he returned home to Summit Hill and owned and operated Miller's Service Station for 15 years. He worked for Tobyhanna Army Depot for 15 years, traveling worldwide for temporary duty stations.

He was a member of the Summit Hill American Legion and the Summit Hill Historical Society, and had formerly served on the Summit Hill Borough Council.

He is survived by his widow Carol, along with his children, Harry C. "Chris," and his wife Roxanne of Dover, DE, Dawn Orsulak, and her husband, Joseph C., of The Villages, FL, and Karen of Summit Hill; grandchildren, Keri Lindermuth of Summit Hill, Tara Schrepel of Carlisle and Joseph B. Orsulak in Florida; a niece and a nephew; three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Josephine I. Sterling, who died in March 2010.

Services: Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 12, from 5-7 p.m. at the Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ruth Ann Christopher officiating. Interment will be held at the Grand Army Cemetery, Summit Hill, at a later date.
