Harry Shinn Obituary
Harry Lee Shinn, age 81, formerly of Dallas-Cherryville Hwy., passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Stanley Total Living Center. He was born November 2, 1941 in Mecklenburg County to the late Clint Shinn and the late Margaret Ellen Shinn Brown.
Harry was the plant manager for Carolina Foam for more than 50 years. In his younger days he enjoyed playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 15 years, Shannon Denise Young Shinn; brother, Charlie Shinn; and sister, Marvene Whitesides.
Survivors include his son, David Shinn (Renee); daughters, Margaret Gabriel (Richard), and Trish Shinn; brother, William Shinn (Cindy), sisters, Kathy Phiefer, and Renee Brown; grandchildren, Jeremy Gabriel, Alicia Watts, Correy Hammond, Travis Hammond, Taylor Daughtrey, Teri Shinn, Mekenzie Shinn, and Josh Miller; 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
His family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Tuesday August 15, 2023, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services.
No other formal services are planned.
