Harry F. Styburski, age 94 of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Grand Pines Assisted Living. He was born on April 14, 1929, in Muskegon, Michigan, to the late Felix and Katherine (Posobeic) Styburski. Harry married Delores Schmitt on Nov. 21, 1953, in Grand Haven. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2014, after 60 years of marriage.
Harry graduated from high school and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953, during the Korean War Era. Upon his discharge from the Army, he secured a job working for Story and Clark Piano Factory, which he did for 39 years before his retirement in 1990. Harry and his wife were longtime members of St. Patrick – St. Anthony's Catholic Parish for many years, where he served as an usher. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing.
Harry will be remembered and missed by his two daughters, Joyce Borst of Spring Lake and Barbara Schuelke of North Carolina; his two sons, Theodore Styburski of Muskegon and Randal (Patti) Styburski of Spring Lake, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Judy Styburski; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Sessions; and brother, Thomas Styburski.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two sons, David Styburski (1995) and Matthew Styburski (2010); sons-in-law, Jim Borst and Bob Schuelke; sister, Bernice (Henry) Zeman; sister-in-law, Edith Styburski; and brothers-in-law: Robert and James Schmitt, and Frank Sessions.
The funeral Mass for Harry will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Patrick – St. Anthony's Catholic Parish, with Fr. Dan Schumaker officiating. Visitation will be held the evening prior on Tuesday, March 26th, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Trinity Health at Home Hospice-Grand Haven.
