Harryette 'Grace' Lee (Oswald) Graham, 86, of Springdale, AR, formerly of Little Rock, died on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Harryette was born on December 23, 1938, in Dumas, AR. She was a daughter of the late Harry Lee Oswald and Martha Evelyn Farmer Oswald.
Mrs. Graham was strong in faith and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Little Rock. She was an active board member of the Lewis Johnson Family Cemetery in Johnson County and was a past member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Harryette attended The University of Arkansas Fayetteville and earned her Bachelor Degree in Education. She then went on to continue her education at The University of Arkansas Little Rock to receive her Masters Degree in Home Economics. Mrs. Graham was a part of the Chi Omega Sorority. After graduation, she became a schoolteacher and started her career influencing young minds in the Little Rock Public Schools. Later at Little Rock Central High School where she stayed until her retirement.
Harryette could also be known as Grace, her "coffee name" as she found it easier to spell out to the baristas. Grace was a cultured traveler and enjoyed spending time with her husband, MD, traveling to new places. As well as going on cruises and expeditions, she loved to take walks around her home and be in nature. Harryette enjoyed digging up family history by doing genealogy.
On August 15, 1959, in North Little Rock, she married her first husband, Donald Lee Mehlburger Sr. They had two sons together, Lee and Harry.
Then on August 21, 1971, in Little Rock, she married Milton David 'MD' Graham, who preceded her in death on January 1, 2018. They spent the next 46 years raising kids, traveling, and being involved in their church and community.
Harryette is survived by sons; Lee Mehlburger (Michelle) of Oil City, PA, and Harry Mehlburger (Yolonda) of Siloam Springs, AR; and five grandchildren; Mary, Spencer, Harrison, Jake, and Madelyn.
Also surviving is a sister Martha Suzanne Ross (David) of North Little Rock, along with many loved nieces and nephews.
Preceding Harryette in death are her parents, Harry and Evelyn Oswald, and her husband, MD Graham.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church followed by inurnment in the columbarium next to her late husband, Milton D. Graham.
Memorials in Harryette's honor may be made to The Lewis Johnson Family Cemetery, in attention to Lee Mehlburger, 1582 Oleopolis Road, Oil City, PA 16301, or to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi Street, Little Rock, AR 72207.
