In memory of
1923 - 2017
September 10, 2018
I was saddened to find today that Harvey Cox had passed away. We had corresponded some years ago by phone and snail mail about his evasion in Belgium. He had sent me photos taken at the time by some of his Belgian Helpers and we put them on the page we have for him on our website. Go to www.evasioncomete.org > Home Page > Enter > Fiches > Alphabetical list > COX.
I/we extend our belated but nonetheless sincere condolences to his family.
Rest in peace, Harvey.

So sorry Mark to read about the passing of your Dad. I have been off the computer for several weeks but did recall in your last posting your Dad was not doing well, and kind of expected this to happen. Beautiful memorable postings about your Dad. Never knew how wonderful a Military history he had. Please accept our sincere sympathy even if I am late in reading this. Our love as always Ed & Kay Arlington.

What a beautiful tribute to a life well-lived. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to speak to you, Mark. My memories of your Dad are from when we were pretty young. I remember that he filled the doorway with his presence and we were such little kids. It was a beautiful service. Your family continues to be in my prayers. God bless.

As our family gathered for Thanksgiving we wanted to express our thanks for the wonderful life of Uncle Harvey (he was my Mom's uncle). Harvey was the last of his generation. He was the quintessential Texan (in fact when I think of Texas and what it means to be a Texan I think of the entire Cox family). Until I read his obituary I had forgotten about his distinguished military record and experiences. What an amazing set of missions and rescue. RIP Harvey.

My deepest sympathy to the Family of Harvey. I will miss my frequent phone conversations with Harvey. My biggest regret is that we never got to meet in person. Thanks for being such a long time friend to my late Father and Mother, Major Alfred and Carolina Lopez. Rest in peace, my friend, and my the perpetual light shine upon you. Deb Plopa, Wichita KS
