Harvey J. Plaggemars

Harvey Plaggemars age 81, of Holland, died Saturday, April 13, 2024 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Ken Hoekstra and grandsons Isaiah and Adam; brothers, Robert and Gordon.
Harv was a member of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church where he was active for many years. He served as elder, deacon, and volunteered in many capacities. He owned glass and construction businesses during his career.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elaine; children, Sue Hoekstra, Deb Plaggemars, Julie Plaggemars, Scott and Shelley Plaggemars; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Morren (Evelyn), Devan and Emily Hoekstra (Reid, Miles), MacKenna Hoekstra and Matt Meekhof, Chase Hoekstra, Eric Plaggemars, Reuben Plaggemars; brother, Earl and Lin Plaggemars; in-laws, Ruth Plaggemars, Mary and Al Teerman, Tom and Kathy Timmer; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Central Ave. Christian Reformed Church, 259 Central Ave. Holland with Rev. Chad Steenwyk officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland.
