Mr. Harvey Peter Weaver, 98, of Palatine Bridge, NY, died on August 10th, 2025, at home with his daughters by his side.

Harvey was born in the Town of Palatine, on October 19, 1926, the son of John Weaver and Hazel Crouse Weaver.

Most recently, he worked as a night watchman at the Montgomery County Home in Yost, NY. Before that, he had worked for almost 20 years on the railroad and at the Canajoharie Cremery.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stone Arabia and enjoyed farming, riding motorcycles, watching WWF (now known as WWE) wrestling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

In 1972, he lost his son, David Weaver; he was also predeceased by his brothers, John, Floyd, Ostrom, Virgil, and Raymond Weaver; sister Gertrude Johnson, and grandson-in-law Kyle Kitterle.

Survivors include his two daughters, Nancy (Hank) Crannell and Sherry (Skip) Simonds; 3 sisters, Sadie Dillenbeck, Hazel (Jack) Hyney, and Norma (George) Frasier; grandchildren Angie (Justin) Calkins, Matthew (Jessica) Crannell, Krista Mann and Roland "R.J." (Nicole) Mann; great grandchildren Kristina (Beth) Cole, Stephanie Calkins, Jack Calkins, Hadley Crannell, Logan Crannell, Kora Kitterle and Roland Mann; 1 great great grandson Tucker Cole; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00-12:00, on Friday, August 15th, 2025, at Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317, with a funeral following at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Ephratah Rural Cemetery.
