Hashim Jamal Ghazi Husein passed away on March 4, 2026, in Austin, Texas.

Hashim passed away far too soon at the age of 21 leaving behind a deep sorrow in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Hashim was a young man with a heart of gold. He cared deeply for all his friends, and there was nothing he would not do for them. His kindness, loyalty, and generous spirit touched many lives, and he was the kind of person people could always count on.

He loved his family dearly, treasured his parents, Jamal and Karla, and shared a special bond with his sister, Amani, and brother, Arturo; his sister-in-law, Jordan; and his nephew, Eli. His family meant everything to him, and the love they shared will remain forever.

Taken long before his time, Hashim left a world that had become too dark for his gentle soul. Though his life was brief, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Some lights shine so brightly that even when they leave us too soon, their warmth never fades. Hashim’s light will forever shine on his family and friends. We love you Hash.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Harper Funeral Home.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
