For the Wexler family:
In about 1996 or so I had a small encounter with Mr Wexler in Scottsdale, AZ. My family and I had just left a restaurant near Mountain View after dark. We noticed a man in the empty parking lot, alone, and walking oddly. Since I was a nurse, I got out to talk to him to see if he needed help. He seemed confused, and agreed to be driven to the Scottsdale Hospital. I did not know who he was, but found out later that a family member had discharged him and taken him home nearby. Apparentely he had just moved into a home. I am glad that there was a positive outcome. Only recently did I realize who he was, and how important he has been to our culture. What an amazing man he was.

Haskell clamped amic on me that went straight to his ear piece about three months ago. He proceeded to tell me the story of how aUboat sank his ship.

Very few people who reach his station in life remain accessible. Maybe his combination of talent and conviction didn't need insulation. Many are grateful for having crossed his path and being invited in for a moment or two.

Haskell was fearless. It was the cornerstone of his integrity.

Dear Kathy, Jeffrey & Mark,

Am saddened at reading of your father's death. It is the end of an era when a person who never lost his ideals throughout a long and distinguished career dies.

The Wexler family meant a lot to our family (our parents, Harry and Therese Lackritz) were good friends of Lottie's and Si's). We were invited to accompany our parents to the Wexler's house for dinner, often, and I had to eat shrimp for the first time!

It is hard to imagine that we have all become old - Francis W. Parker, though, has kept alive so many of the family names of people with whom we grew up. And my older sister, Mary, is still in touch with Joyce.

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Jeff and family my deepest sympathies to all. I worked with you and your father over the years and had the deepest respect for him as Haskell was a gentle soul, and a most creative person. May he rest in peace!

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the family. I am sorry for your sudden loss. Please know that God's word states that we were created with eternity in our hearts, (Ecclesiastes 3:11) and that through Jesus "all those who have fallen asleep will be made alive" (1 Corinthians 15:20-22) your family is in our prayers.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
