Hattie J. Rush

Hattie J. Rush, 67, of Middletown, wife of the late Roosevelt R. Rush, passed away on Monday, January 19th at Waters Edge Center for Health in Middletown. Born in Florence, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Liston and Augusta (Harrison) Jones. Hattie lived in Middletown since 1968, was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Middletown, and was employed at Pratt and Whitney in Middletown for many years. She is survived by a son, Michael P. Rush of Altanta, GA; two daughters, Regina Y. Rush-Kittle and her husband, William of Rocky Hill and Sheila M. Rush of New Britain; three brothers, Fred Jones and his wife, Cathy of Middletown, Billy Jones of Springfield, MA, and Robert Lee Jones and his wife, Doris Ann of Cromwell; a sister, Ella Jones of Middletown; five grandchildren, Marcus, Jorrell, Nikisha, Alondre, and Gianna; and a host of nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Sam Jones. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 10:00 am at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
