Hayat Fouad Mirza

Hayat Fouad Mirza lead a full & persistent life, holding her loved ones needs well above hers at all times. Just after she was able to celebrate her 78th birthday amongst close family, she passed losing a rather lengthy battle with an advanced brain condition.

She was blessed to experience a lifetime containing motherhood, by getting the honor to proudly watch her 2 children Tania Ghanem & Saad Ghanem flourish. Pre-deceased by her late husband Elli Ghanem, she focused on molding the people around her into the people she knew she could help them become. She only knew how to establish a life her children could grow and thrive in. For many years to come Joseph (Jeff) Makhlouf, husband of Tania, supported those dreams and became just like another child of Hayat’s in America.

From there a new family seed was planted with a first grandchild Celine Makhlouf, before 2 more blessings of grandchildren followed; Sophie & Joey Makhlouf. She passed down her knowledge of both the Arabic & English language to all 3 grandchildren, in hand with other figures and schooling.

Her beautiful siblings Theresa Mansourati & Naim Mirza would pre-decease her as well, within the past recent few years. Hayat is survived by numerous other gained and cherished family members throughout every aspect and walk of life.

Most of her time was spent helping raise 3 successful munchkins, casino life is where Hayat felt at peace most nights. It was truly the traveling during holidays benefits that came with it, and bonus quality time able to be spent with family & new friends that drew her. She couldn’t get enough of the community & thrill that being a part of that gave her. Of course, when she wasn’t dolled up playing, or (happily) cleaning up after her messy grandchildren, she would be found glued to the same few soap operas while drinking a cup of black coffee.

We invite anyone who would pleasure us in commemorating her life’s journey, to both a Friday afternoon public viewing & a Catholic Mass/Burial the following Saturday morning. Service information has you to meet for the initial viewing 6-8pm at MacNabb Funeral home-301 Frederick rd. Catonsville, MD 21228. A funeral mass and burial will be held Saturday October 25th, 2025, in St. Michaels Catholic Church in Mt. Airy, MD at 11AM. located at-1125 St. Michaels rd. Mt. Airy, MD 21771.

Please join us for a repass luncheon that will take place immediately after the burial service at St. Michaels banquet hall. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing everyone.
