Hazel Biglow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mountain Funeral Homes - Ashland on Oct. 1, 2025.
Hazel E. (Lundquist) Biglow, age 95, passed away quietly at her home in Ashland, WI, on March 18, 2025. She was born in Mellen, WI, on November 10, 1929 to Erick and Cecelia (Carbon) Lundquist.
Hazel was a long-time member of the Ashland United Presbyterian Congregational Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was an excellent archer in her day and won many trophies to prove it. She also was known for her fishing prowess and once caught a 20-pound Northern.
Hazel loved arts and crafts and became especially proficient in stained glass art. Over the years she created many beautiful pieces, which her family treasures. She also was known for her intricate handmade Christmas ornaments that have adorned many Christmas trees over the years.
She was an excellent cook and baker as friends and family can attest to. No one made better chocolate chip cookies or spaghetti pie. There was no greater morning than waking up to the smell of a baked treat that Hazel had made hours before anybody else was even awake!
Hazel was married to William A. Biglow, O.D., for almost 64 years until his death in 2014. She is survived by four sons: Bill, Jr. (Nanci), of Maryland; Del (Lee), of Australia; Terry (Kim), of Ashland; Brad, of Florida; two grandchildren: Alex (Stephanie) and Ian (Coti); and three great-grandsons Brooks, Wesley, and Landon.
A funeral service for Hazel will be held at a later date.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Ashland and Mellen, WI. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Hazel, please visit our Tree Store.
