Hazel R. Cross

Hazel Randall Cross, age 91, of Springfield, VA passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born on October 16, 1934 in Marshall, NC, she was the eldest daughter of the late Walter Randall and the late Gertrude Randall. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John Wayne Cross.

Hazel moved from the western mountains of North Carolina to the Washington DC metro area in 1954 and was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigations until her retirement in 1989 after 35 years of service.

She was a member many organizations, including the Order of the Eastern Star (Harmony Chapter #60), Daughters of the Nile (El Manrah Temple No. 132), and Ladies' Oriental Shrine of North America (Al Manarah Court #50).

Hazel is survived by her sisters Bernice Harris, Christine Parsons, Helen Pugh, and Evelyn Mathes, and her brother Walter Randall Jr. She was predeceased by her sister Norma McDill.

Family and friends are welcome at the gravesite at 1pm on Saturday March 21 at National Memorial Park, 7400 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042
