COOLVILLE—Hazel V. Guess, 53, of Coolville, OH, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, WV.
She was born Nov. 23, 1971, in Parkersburg, WV, daughter of Linda Murphy Ellison and the late Alfred Carl Ellison. She was a bus driver for Warren School District and loved all the kids on her bus. Hazel also loved to fish, the sun and the beach, especially Holden Beach. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, Leroy, having breakfast on Saturday mornings at The People’s Club and taking care of her chickens.
Hazel is survived by her husband of 10 years, Leroy Guess; daughter, Veronica and Alex Martin; son, Damien and Jordan King; granddaughter, Charlie; sister, Lesa and Paul Reynolds and siblings, Doug and Ocie Lockhart.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Ellison.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH. There will be no funeral service. Immediately following the visitation, everyone is invited to The People’s Club for food and fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
