Hazel Irene Hensley Gross

Hazel Irene Hensley Gross, 95, born on September 4th 1930, Beloved Mother, Aunt and Grandmother, passed away on November 6, 2025 in Tennessee at her daughters home.

Raised up in Camp Creek, here above this Cemetery, she loved her childhood growing up and loved her family. She was a tough love Mother who kept her kids in line. She could tell the best scary stories about up in the holler. She loved to talk about all the loved ones who lived near them and how she missed the ones who had passed away.

Ms. Gross is preceded in death by a Son, John Richard Gross; Her Husband, John M. Gross; a loving Granddaughter, Laura Lee Slusher Saylor; Sisters, Anna Lee Hensley Scott and Jerelene Hensley Alred; Her Parents, Audna Marie Noe Hensley and Andrew Jackson Hensley.

Hazel is survived by her Older Sister, Ethelene Hensley McCoy; Her Nephew who was like a Son to her, Ronnie Ed Hensley; Two Children, Spencer Gross and Wife Penny and Deborah Gross Bryant and Husband Danny; Three Grandkids, John Richard “Ricky” Gross, Jessica Gross and Steven Andrew Slusher; One Great Granddaughter, Riley Cheyenne Slusher.

A private service for family will be held at Park Howard Cemetery on November 9, 2025.
