November 22, 1938 – February 22, 2026
Ms. Hazel Elizabeth Jones, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 87 years old.
A woman of grace, strength, and unwavering compassion, Mother Jones leaves to honor her memory two beloved children, Cathy A. Washington and Curtis A. (Regina) Washington; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She is also lovingly remembered by her life partner, Mr. Edward Bailey, whose companionship brought her great joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Love Faith Center, 700 Exchange Blvd. Visitation will take place from 10:00–11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family invites all who knew and loved Ms. Jones to share fond memories below. Flowers may be sent directly to Church of Love.
