Hazel Anne Lisk

Hazel "Anne" Lisk, 100 of Salinas, Ca passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2025. Anne was born in San Francisco, Ca on December 4, 1925, to William and Mary "Mae" Twisselman. During Anne's early years she attended Sacred Heart Elementary school and Salinas high school. After graduating from high school, Anne attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing. Anne married Stan Lisk on July 31, 1948, and they shared 58 wonderful years together, during which they raised their three sons, David, Daniel, and John. Anne worked as a registered nurse for over 60 years in Salinas, primarily for Drs. Corp, Miles and Lawlor.
Anne was a parishioner of Sacred Heart and Madonna del Sasso Catholic churches. She spent many hours volunteering with the St. Vincent de Paul Organization. Anne was also a member of the Entre Nous Society for more than 70 years. Her love of her family and cooking was apparent in the many meals she prepared during family gatherings, which everyone has their favorites. Anne loved collecting cookbooks, was an avid bridge player, crocheted at every opportunity, and thoroughly enjoyed a good book. Every July during Big Week, Anne tailgated in the directors' parking lot at the Salinas Rodeo, sharing lunch and her famous homemade cookies with family and friends throughout her husband's many years as director.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mae, husband Stan, Sons David and Daniel, sister Mary and brother William. She is survived by her son John, daughter-in-law Judy (David) and former daughters-in-law Donna Jefferson and Anna Lisk. Grandchildren Eric Lisk (Dani), Meredith Allen (Richard), Ryan Lisk (Natalie), J.D. Lisk (Shelley), Josie Sinkler (Josiah), Kelsey Lisk, Wyatt Lisk, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone Street,
Salinas, Ca. 93901.
With burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott Street, Salinas, Ca. 93901
