Our beautiful Mother/Mema passed away on December 16, 2025. She left us but her love will remain in our hearts.
She was a chatterbox, never met a stranger, and loved her family without fault.
She was born September 3, 1931, in Pulaski County to the late Jessie (Ward) and Charlie Drake.
Survivors include sisters Sandy Malone, Irma Joslin and brother Johnny Drake; three children: Jim Walker (Shirley), Peggy lackey (Geoff) and Diana Quick (Olan Teal); grandchildren: Brookelyn Adams, Christopher Adams, Bo Adams, Chris Walker (Sonja), Kevin Walker (Madison), Spencer Russell (Erin); Great-Grandchildren: Gavin, Adelaide, Blakely, Tyler, Hunter, Monroe, and Calhoun.
Hazel was preceded in death by her daughter, Carla Gail Adams and two brothers Monroe Drake and Larry Drake.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Adams, Bo Adams, Gavin McGinnis, Chris Walker, Marcus Morrow and Jed Smith.
Visitation will take place at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025.
Funeral is at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, December 23 at the funeral home with burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
We want to thank Sherwood Nursing Home for the care, love and kindness shown to our mother over the years. We thank Gentiva Hospice for the care they provided. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's association.
